How to shuffle and draw
The deck moves first. You pick faces down. Only then does anyone talk.
A reading that dumps an essay on an unshuffled table is a blog post. Play Tarot keeps four steps on purpose: shuffle, pick, flip, interpret.
Shuffle
The order of the seventy-eight cards is decided on the server. Your browser never chooses The Sun. You see a moving pile of backs. You can skip the wait with the space bar. Skipping does not skip the shuffle. It only skips the theater.
Reversed cards are allowed. A reversed card is labeled in words, not only by turning the picture. If you prefer less motion, the site respects prefers-reduced-motion and fades instead of flipping.
Pick
You tap faces down, or you ask the table to draw for you. Either way, the request sends positions in the shuffled pile — indexes, not card names. That is how we keep a clever client from packing The Sun ten times.
Daily is one card. Three-card spreads ask for three. Larger maps use a thumbnail grid so the page does not try to spin ten cards in 3D at once.
Flip
Enter flips the next card. You can reveal all when you are ready. Read the pictures before you ask for sentences. Name them out loud if you can. The interpretation is late on purpose.
Then the text
If a live reader is available, you get a structured interpretation: title, summary, each position, a synthesis, and a small piece of advice. If it is not, you still get traditional meanings tied to the cards you drew. That fallback is labeled. It does not pretend to be a live sitting.
You can come back to the same Daily card until your timezone rolls over. That lock is the point. The ritual is not a slot machine.
